Established in 1976, Z-Aviation Services (ZAS) recognized the need to represent and protect foreign carriers interests during their operations into Egypt; its presence inside the air side of all Egyptian airport ensured that flights calling in received efficient and safe
handling services.
In 1982, Mr. Sherif Zarkani, founder of the company again saw a need that was not being fulfilled within the aviation sector and that was a reliable
cargo carrier that could efficiently transport Egypt's growing export and imports. Soon after, ZAS Airlines of Egypt was established and performed its inaugural cargo flight on November 23rd 1982 with its first Boeing 707.
After reaching a fleet of 9 Boeing 707 cargo freighters and building a reputation as the most efficient operator in the region, ZAS Airline of Egypt was granted a license to perform passenger flights both domestically and internationally and charter and scheduled basis reaching a total fleet of 26 aircrafts.
From the first inaugural flight until the airline was dissolved in 1997, Z-Aviation Services was performing all the
ground handling services for its sister airline company for all types of operations, cargo,
passenger and
VIP services.
Today Z-Aviation has increased to its
airport locations and added to its list of services to include flight support, chartering program, aircraft management and catering production facility.
